The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back.   The wooden frame includes a hanging wire for easy mounting on your wall (see photo on the left).

I have been painting all of my life, one of my earliest memories was discovering that a stray and mishapen bristle on a watercolor brush could make it look like a girl's hair was blowing in the wind.
